    Introduce yourself

    Hello everbody!

I just signed up to the forum. I hope this will be a good medium to have an intelligent discussion. I thought I'd make an introduction thread so new members can introduce themselves.

As for me, I graduated from college recently with a CS major. I have been trading actively for the past 4 years, and trade full time now. I currently manage money professionally for a few clients. I have been reading Mr.Mauldin's writings for atleast a year now and value his insight tremendously.

I specialize mostly on big caps and trade a variety of equity/index futures options strategies around my views. Have fun, and welcome!

    Re: Introduce yourself

Hey RJ!  How are you? And hello to all  members on this site.

Good idea on the introduction thread RJ.  I've been reading Mauldin and other investorsinsight content for a few years now and I was suprised and excited about seeing this new website format.

I'm not a trader but I'd can't wait to read your insight and thoughts.  Maybe we should start a trading thread so we can talk stock.  I can only imagine the market will provide us with some juicy subjects to discuss.  Espeically with the elections on thewhorizon.

Again, good to meet all of you. and looking forward to some intelligent discussion on this site.

    MT

Thanks RJ, this was an excellent idea!

I have been reading both John Mauldin and Gary Halbert for years now and I find their collective "insights" very helpful... I certainly don't trade at your level, but I still like to read as much as I can about the financial markets. I am glad that this site has finally started up a reader forum. Now I will be able to start sharing some of my thoughts will the other Mauldin and Halbert readers out there...

As for myself, I am just your average joe with a small portfolio, 401(k), IRA, etc... I take a little money and do some day trading - following along with Timothy Sikes at the moment... Otherwise, I stick to more conservative investing; letting my nest egg grow slowly over time...

    Cheers!

    Re: Introduce yourself

     Hi Ramy,

I have been a big fan of Mr. Mauldin since 2001 or so.  I have a financial services practice with a regional firm and have been getting the newsletter as well.  I don't know how I found this site to be honest - just searching for one of his letters I guess -  but I think it is a great idea as he must have alot of subscribers and getting them together to share thoughts would seem logical.

Thanks for starting the thread and talk to you later!
