Some comments on our recent articles. Some of the letters
were edited for length.
"Mass Extinction by Gases"
I think the article is based on a lot of theoretical and
unprovable ideas which only add to the scare tactics of the gloom and doom
environmentalists. Remember, GOD will save the earth for as long as HE wants it
to remain as it is. Then HE will make it new, as HE promised in the Book
of Revelation.
PS. There is also absolutely no scientific evidence
that dinosaurs lived 65 million years ago.

How can you doubt the largest peer-reviewed scientific
study in history? Global climate change is now considered fact, and it's
considered "very likely" that it is caused by human activity.
The largest critics of the study are not professional
atmospheric scientists and many are the exact same people that
insisted that smoking and cancer where not related. They are even paid by the
same agency to produce their "alternate evidence."
It may be convenient for Americans to hide their heads in
the sand, especially when the USA is the largest emitter of
greenhouse gasses, and the government is run by buddies of the oil companies.
The world has accepted that global warming is fact. The UN
has accepted it, but Americans think that the jury is still
out because of American corporate propaganda.
You are all fools, and I hope you come to your senses
before all your civil liberties have been abolished by your corrupt and
selfish "government."

TV producer Martin Durkin, titled "The Great
Global Warming Swindle."

"The Sinking Ship"
It didn't take me long to figure out why Rep. Peter
DeFazio was denied access to the administration plan for dealing with a
doomsday situation. Considering the machinations of the past six
years, it is not unlikely that the plans provide for a fascist takeover
of the government, the suspension of elections, and a dictator in
place. Guess who. We're already halfway there. Or more. But how
would that plan play out if it appeared on the front page of the New York Times?

You write that the current administration is out of
control and that Cheney must be stopped. This is not a new observation, but it
does beg the question: who is going to stop him? There is a lot of rhetoric but
seemingly very little action, particularly from Congress.

I get a lot out of your newsletters despite being a
self-professed progressive (I gave up on liberalism after the neos got
through thumping it and erstwhile liberal pols started behaving like
right-wingers). Anyway, I am in stark agreement with what Doug Hornig said
about the need to rein in the sovereign King of Cheneystan. [...]
Well, U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich agrees, and whatever
negative opinions you might have about him, he has led the way by filing a
resolution last April to take the first steps toward impeachment of Cheney,
over the opposition of the Democratic leadership (see why I am not a
"liberal"?). [...]
To move the process along and make your voice heard in
your representative's office, you can write directly or do it
