What's astonishing in this comment is that business leaders aren't included in this list of nefarious characters deluding the public and you yourself take no responsibility for the current state of affairs.

Somehow the 'business elite' of which you are a part haven't contributed this to current mess by buying off the political system and systematically corrupting and weakening it.

No blame goes to the Koch brothers and other like minded billionaires who seek to weaken the system so they get a freer hand and presumably lower taxes.

Roads can't be built or teachers paid but two wars can be maintained while lowering taxes for the wealthiest who are richer now than they've ever been.

What a joke and your column has no weight when can't honestly include your buddies among those who are responsible for the problems we have today.

Perhaps the wealthy business elite represent the biggest obstacles to good governance today.

The 35% goal for Solar and Wind power is probably not attainable without frequent widespread power outages. There must be spinning capacity equal to at least base load to keep the power on when the intermittent sources are not producing.

Only up to 15% - 20% of total load can be shifted to wind and solar when they are active and maintain continuous service when they are not, if the experience in British Columbia means anything.
